New Name, who dis?

Hey Friend 👋,

as you may have noticed (or not coz you got better things to do lol) I have gone a bit silent with this newsletter.

The reason is that towards the end of last year I was running out of runway.

So we started searching for paid project work again.

Through a random stroke of luck, we found a sales partner that we hit it off with and executed 3 MVPs in 6 weeks.

To do that, we bought a boilerplate and iterated on top of it with windsurf.

It’s crazy, scary how fast you can ship with this, but I love it.

AI code editors help you remove 90% of the grunt work to leave more time to what’s truly unique about your app. It’s a boilerplate on steroids.

That being said, it left no time to write this newsletter 🥹.

Now I’m back, but I want to shift the angle of the newsletter a bit.

Otherwise, I know I won’t make it a priority.

I want to treat it more like a space to reflect on the process of building and what I learn reading more than one hour per day, with real-world insights that you can hopefully apply yourself.

It’s both therapy for me and a way to master what I learn (by distilling insights and teaching).

Basically what Build in Public used to be before it became drop-shipping, get rich quick schemes and people copying each other.

If that doesn’t sound like what you came here for, I get it.
